Mysore Sahodaya School Complex (MSSC), in collaboration with St. Arnold's Central School, organized a vibrant Kannada Folk Singing Competition on 29th August 2026 at 9:00 a.m. The event brought together talented participants from around 23 schools, creating an atmosphere filled with enthusiasm, cultural pride and musical splendour.

The competition was a beautiful celebration of India’s rich folk traditions, providing a magnificent platform for teachers to showcase their musical abilities, creativity and appreciation for the diverse cultural heritage of our country. The performances reflected the participants’ dedication, confidence and artistic expression, captivating the audience with their melodious voices and spirited presentation.

The event was adjudicated by three distinguished judges — Mr. Devananda Varaprasad, Mr. Yogesh M. A., and Ms. Shalom Sannutha. Their expertise and discerning evaluation added credibility and excellence to the competition. The judges carefully assessed the performances on various aspects, including vocal rendition, rhythm, coordination, presentation and the authentic portrayal of folk traditions.

The entire programme was meticulously organized and executed, with every aspect reflecting careful planning and teamwork.
